JERRY SEINFELD AS COMPARED TO MY MOTHER

The cereal boxes in the kitchen of Jerry Seinfeld are stored on a shelf above the sink. The boxes sit upright with the nutritional information facing outward. The brands of cereal include Honey Comb, Cocoa Pebbles, Shredded Wheat, Rice Krispies, Cheerios, Raisin Bran, and the obscure Post cereal "Blueberry Morning." At least one box is of indeterminate brand.

The cereal boxes in the kitchen of my mother are stored in a closed pantry. The boxes are stored on their sides, with their tops facing outward. The brands of cereal include Kashi puffed wheat, Total, and Cheerios. Other items intermixed with the cereal include Wheatables (a type of cracker), Keebler Ice Cream Cups, and Gold Medal Flour.

Notable similarities between the cereals of Jerry Seinfeld and my mother include the brand Cheerios, which is manufactured by General Mills Inc. Notable differences include the manner in which the boxes are positioned on the shelf, and the intermingling of my mother's non-cereal items with cereal items.

The refrigerator of Jerry Seinfeld is manufactured by the Amana corporation. Twelve to fifteen magnets in total adorn the fridge at any given time. Americana theme magnets including the statue of liberty, a dog, a Comedy Central logo, and two of Superman cover the top half of the fridge. A personal photograph is also present. The overall clutter of logos relate to business and local commerce in New York City. A news article and printed items containing graphics and four color processing take up the most space.

The refrigerator of my mother is manufactured by Whirlpool corporation. Four total magnets of the following themes adorn the fridge: a donut, a cardinal, a birdhouse, and a British teddy-bear guard. The items on the refrigerator are sparsely displayed with no overlap. A coupon for $1.00 off greeting cards and a halloween drawing done by a student take up the most space.

Notable similarities between the refrigerators of Jerry Seinfeld and my mother include an oven mitt hanging from a magnetic hook on the side of the fridge. While Jerry Seinfeld stores his oven mitt on the left side of the fridge, my mother stores her oven mitt on the right side of the fridge. Other notable differences include the luxury features of external water and ice maker on the fridge of Jerry Seinfeld, while my mother's fridge remains more simple in both decoration and functionality.

The similarities and differences between the cereals and refrigerators of Jerry Seinfeld and my mother are numerous in amount.
